"My girlfriend visited me while I was living in Ethiopia, and I wanted to show her one of Ethiopia’s most beautiful areas: the Simien Mountains. Nur organized our trek for us, and we were not disappointed! Things went very smoothly: Nur arranged our excellent guide and other support staff (scout, cooks, and mule handlers), the necessary gear (tents and sleeping bags), and transportation in a good 4WD to and from Gonder. I highly recommend an organized tour as it removes all the hassle and lets you concentrate on enjoying your trekking experience! We hiked from near the park entrance to Sankaber camp, then on to Geech camp, and ended up at Imetgogo, a major vantage point at over 12,000 feet altitude. The views the entire way were absolutely incredible, and the wildlife -- including lots of gelada baboons and other animals) -- was fascinating as well."
